Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer Intermediate
Location: Toronto, Ontario - Remote
Must Haves
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular
- Strong hands-on experience with React.js
- Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Hands-on experience with Angular: Components, Services, Dependency Injection, Routing, Reactive Forms, RxJS, NgRx or equivalent state management
- Hands-on experience with React: Functional Components, Hooks, React Router, Context API, Redux or equivalent state management, Reusable component development
- Strong experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs
- Good understanding of JSON, authentication, authorization, and API error handling
- Working knowledge of backend development using one or more of: Python, C#, .NET, Java, Node.js
- Working knowledge of SQL databases such as: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Experience using Git and GitHub
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Description / Responsibilities / Skills
Role Overview
- frontend-heavy full-stack role with solid working knowledge of backend technologies, REST APIs, databases, cloud environments, and AI/LLM-enabled application development
- deep backend architecture or AI model engineering experience is not required
Key Responsibilities
- Translate UI/UX designs and business requirements into functional application components
- Troubleshoot frontend performance, browser compatibility, API integration, and application defects
- Work with backend developers to define API contracts and resolve integration issues
- Contribute to backend development and maintenance using Python, C#, .NET, Java, or Node.js, as required
- Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Support applications deployed within AWS or Azure environments
- Integrate applications with LLM and AI-enabled services through APIs
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Use Git/GitHub for source control, branching, code reviews, and collaborative development
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate closely with product, architecture, backend, QA, and UX teams
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with frontend unit and integration testing using Jest, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools

Required Qualifications General
- Strong understanding of responsive and component-based UI development
AI / LLM Experience
- Working knowledge of LLMs and generative AI concepts
- Experience integrating frontend or full-stack applications with AI/LLM services through APIs
- Familiarity with platforms or services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent
- Understanding of how AI-generated responses can be consumed, displayed, validated, and managed within web applications
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools
Backend Expectations
- Understand existing backend services and application architecture
- Consume and troubleshoot REST APIs
- Read and modify backend code when required
- Understand API request/response structures
- Work with authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Perform basic database queries and troubleshooting
- Collaborate effectively with backend engineers
- Understand microservices and API-driven architectures at an application-development level
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Angular Material or comparable Angular UI libraries
- Experience with React UI/component libraries
- Experience building shared component libraries or enterprise design systems
- Experience with frontend unit and integration testing

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
